The Top 5 FAQ series edition three
Was about "gray areas", by Pastor Larry
The Bible tells us of moral and immoral things no doubt
There are also many things the Scripture doesn't talk about
Galatians 5:13 says that God gave us freedom
But we need to avoid making decisions dumb
Pastor Larry shared his "gray filter" with us
A four step process to use without making a fuss

Ask "does this Glorify God?" is step number one
Read 1 Corinthians 10, verses 23 and 31
Lots of actions may actually be permissable
But the other question is whether they are beneficial
We are all on a different godly walk
So about other's action we should not talk
Cultural differences should be taken into account
Remember what Jesus said in the sermon on the mount
Hebrews 12:1 says a cloud of witnesses do us surround
Don't get entangled by sin although by laws don't be bound

"Relate to others" is step number two
Don't cause them to stumble in what you do
Romans 14 verses 15, 18, 21, and 22 all seem to say
Are we leading other to Christ or pushing them away?
If we use Larry's four step 'gray filter'
Then our actions should not be out of kilter

Does it "Affect my body" is step number three
We should do our best to live healthily
Verses nineteen and twenty of First Corinthians chapter six
Say that our bodies are temples of the Spirit, on which we should transfix
We must honor God with our bodies and by eating right
It also means we must get enough sleep at night
To live long and healthy lives should be our target
"Moderation is key" is a saying we should not forget

"You got peace" is step number four
A moral conscience ensures this and more
1 Corinthians 14:33 talks of our God of peace
The Holy Spirit is our guidance that will never cease
1 Thessalonians 5 verses twenty one and twenty two
Say to test everything and avoid evil in all that we do
And if we read Romans chapter 14 verse 17
The Kingdom of God revolves around the Holy Spirit unseen

Taking the key letters of each step Larry did say
Spells out the very appropriate acronym GRAY
So remember to make good choices each day of your life
(And wish Happy Mother's Day to your mother and/or your wife)
