31 May 2009 - PLMC

Today our speaker was another guest
Giving our pastors pre-Ohana rest
Or maybe is was to help them prepare
For the global day of prayer
Our concepts of God are often wrong
That gives us problems that don’t belong
Job is a very long book
The story is really worth a look
God is good, God is good
Say it often, so we should
Attracting others to God is our aim
Our beliefs and behaviour should be the same
Knowledge of God will cover the earth
All can then choose death or a new birth
When tragedy doth strike
Looking for answers we do like
But God does not always explain
Remember that He will allow us to gain
Us He will always redeem
No matter how bad it may seem
He will work all things for good
As only our great God could
Jehovah is the one who can save
Even if we sin and misbehave
“There is no shadow of turning from thee”
From evil our God is totally free
Per 1 John one verse five
In God no darkness can survive
That is why in God we can trust
All of our bad karma has turned to dust
In Jeremiah 29 verse eleven
We are to prosper, before going to heaven
In verse 28 of Romans chapter eight
God works for the good of who love him, not hate
Some things start as bad but end up good
Choices drive consequences as they should
For bad things God we should not blame
That would be disrespectful to His name
We are all sinners
God makes us winners
Read Job 19 verse twenty five
Our Redeemer on earth will come alive
Before God the evil one accuses us
Be like Job, don’t make a fuss
God knows the way that we will take
After testing, into gold He will make
God through Jesus paid our ransom
We can’t help ourselves, don’t be dumb
Verses from Psalms show that God knows
Our troubles, oppressions, and foes
Like the prodigal son taken back without a question
He will crown us with love and compassion
He will make up what we have lost
No matter how much it may have cost
Bad things to us God doth allow
When they improve, to His glory all should bow
Job did not listen to his wife
With God she tried to cause him strife
If from God good we accept
Then some trouble we also must expect
Job one versus twenty one and two
Tells us what Job did do
Do not sin in what we say
The Lord giveth and taketh away
The first verses of Job forty two
Says that all things God can do
About some things we may fret to and fro
But they are too wonderful for us to know
After Job prayed for his friend
God prospered him before the end
Job’s latter life was more blessed than the first
Merely because he went through the worst
So in Job’s story we should take heart
Lots of wisdom and faith it does impart
