The offering message came from Matthew 25 : 34-36
"Blessing others" is a theme on which our hearts should all transfix
As all our time and money from God do accrue
Giving them to others is what we should do
Pastor Charles continued the series on "Most Wanted"
He spoke of Jacob, who persevered undaunted
Looking at the letter to the Romans from Paul
Chapter 8, verse 17 says it all
"Heirs of God" are what we are
To obtain His blessings we need not go far
Ephesians 1, verse three is written in the past tense
"Christ has blessed us" is the key part of the sentence
Going back to Jacob, who wrestled with God
Per Genesis 32 : 24-31, all a bit odd
Jacob had been a manipulating deceiver prior to this
Taking his brother's birthright was clearly amiss
But Laban did the same to Jacob too
Perhaps a case of Jacob getting his due?
Jacob persevered all through the night
It must have been one heckuva fight
After the wrestling ended in stalemate
Jacob's hip was hurt, affecting his gait
But he would not let go, despite getting no rest
He was insistent on being blessed
God then changed Jacob's name
Whose character would never be the same
God can do the same for you and for me
Our lives can be changed, just try it and see
So we should all be doing the same
Holding onto God, His blessings to claim
These are not just for our time on earth
For eternity so much they are worth
So let God touch your heart
And from Him never depart
