28 February 2010 - ENCS

Pastor Larry continued the series on "Most Wanted"
Today the focus was on Daniel, who remained undaunted
He had Godly Conviction, saying "God is my judge"
From that position he never once did budge

To be convicted is to have a strong belief
Even if others object and cause you grief
Daniel was convicted in more that one way
One, to live right and two, to pray
For each of these, Pastor had subpoints four
Although I am sure he could have said even more

Looking at Daniel 1, verses 8 and 9
By not defiling himself, Daniel did shine
So keep resolve in your heart
By loving God, from sin we will part
As we see in Daniel 6, verses 3 and 4
Daniel's exceptional qualities nobody could ignore
And then from Daniel 1, verses 17 and 20
God gave each of us talents and gifts aplenty
So the second point for us to know
Is to have the discipline to grow
Per Acts 4:13 and 2 Timothy 1:7 we can see
Having the discipline to know God is also key
One fruit of the Spirit is self-control
Having the discipline to say no must be a goal
To reject worldly passions is what we should do
Per verse twelve of Titus chapter two

Prayer is a lifestyle, as we do have a choice
Per Daniel 6:10, remember also to rejoice
Even if persecuted we may be
Prayer leads to strength, you will see
And per Daniel 6:22, it is a must
Like Daniel, in God we should fully trust
Prayer builds trust, that is a key point
Because God will never ever disappoint
Prayer is powerful it can be seen
From James 5, from verse fifteen
Lastly remember that prayers are heard
Many miracles have globally occurred

We must live for God, as we oft say
And no matter what, we should pray
