As we kicked off a brand new year
From Pastor Larry we did hear
A new sermon series has now begun
Today's was titled "The Power Of One"
A great big difference one person can make
Destiny can change by one decision you make
One thing Pastor did implore
Is for us to love God even more
From Ephesians 4 verse five we can see
"One Lord, one faith, one baptism" are to be
Starting with the phrase "one Lord"
From Deuteronomy we read the Word
Chapter six, verses four and five go to great length
To say "love the Lord our God with all our strength"
We are also loved by our God in heaven
He will bless us per Deuteronomy 6 :11
"A double minded man is unstable in all things"
So stay focused on God about whom the choir sings
Moving on to the phrase "one faith"
Read what Paul to the Philippians sayeth
From chapter 3, verse thirteen we should be led
"Forget what is behind, strain toward what is ahead"
Per Romans 1:12, we should encourage others
Our faith can grow with fellow believing brothers
And strengthened by trials we have done
To reach bigger goals, start with a small one
In terms of "one baptism", read 1 Corinthians twelve
Into verses twelve to fourteen we did delve
It is an outward expression of an inner belief
To let others see that we turn over a new leaf
Our main focus should be unity
To be a God-loving community
Then there is nothing we can not achieve
Due to power of God in whom we believe
Love God, grow in faith, and be united
Pastor Larry wants us to get excited!
