30 May 2010 - ENCS

ENCS' fifteenth anniversary is a cause to celebrate
One thousand attendees, that is great!
"Many cultures, one hope" is the phrase
That the ENCS tee shirt displays
For the video it formed the basis
Which looked at six cultures in this oasis

About the business culture was the first one
Per Deuteronomy 15:4-6, poor should be none
Look after finances and a good steward be
And Jehovah Jireh the provider we will see

Then we heard about leaders being the salt of the earth
Per the sermon on the Mount, we all have great worth
At work we should be joyful and honest
By doing so, we can influence the rest

Creative people tend to think outside the box
Like Jesus, death he did outfox
We can all think and do creative things
To make the most of opportunities life brings

Then the video focused on the culture of today's youth
Many are helpless, hopeless, and alone; that's the truth
We heard Isaiah 61 read in languages six
The broken-hearted God's spirit can fix

In Singapore's development, churches have played a key role
Schools and hospitals for the community whole
Community services will continue to be needed
Through them, God's word to others can be seeded

Family was the last, but definitely not least
Its role as a microcosm of society has not ceased
The sixth verse of Malachi chapter four
Makes a promise that makes us want to read more

In summary, Revelations presents a picture of heaven
That is in the ninth verse of chapter seven
There was a multitude from every nation
God was the cause for this celebration

This links back to the one great hope
Jesus Christ can help us all cope
We must engage every culture and group
All can be transformed in one fell swoop
