Jude's call to persevere is direct and bold
"Remember what the apostles...foretold"
"In the last time there will be scoffers"
"Who follow...unholy desires", building up coffers
"These are the men who divide you"
"Who follow mere natural instincts" too
They "do not have the Spirit" inside
Lacking humility, they have too much pride
"Build yourself up in your most holy faith"
"Pray in the Holy Spirit" Jude sayeth
"Be merciful to those who doubt" says verse 22
"Snatch others from the fire and save them" too
And as Jesus does for us, as we often hear
"To others show mercy, mixed with fear"
Jude's letter is relatively short
But certain truths he does exhort
Be wary of those with worldly desires
They tempt us - at the cost of eternal fires
Stay strong in the Spirit and in prayer
For Jesus listens and forever will care
Show mercy to others, as God does for us
This is His command, there is no need to discuss
