18 November 2010 - Luke 12:54-56

Jesus turned and addressed the growing crowd
Saying that when from the west they see a cloud
They would then be correct to say
That a storm is headed their way
"And when the wind comes out of the south"
"This'll be a hot one" rightly comes their mouth
"You know how to tell a change in the weather"
So how come you can't put two and two together
To see "the God-season we're in right now"
For our focus in wrong, that's how

This short passage from the book of Luke
Includes from Jesus to the people a strong rebuke
But his words strike fear into my heart
For the verdict would be guilty on my part
So dear God, please let me respond to the signs
For I shouldn't have to read between the lines
