16 November 2010 - Romans 8:31-39

"What, then, shall we say in response to these things?"
"If God is for us", we should not be afraid of what life brings
"He did not spare his own Son"
"But gave him up" despite all we have done
"How will he not also, along with him"
"Graciously give us all things" (and not on a whim)?
"Against those whom God has chosen", "who will being any charge?"
"It is God who justifies", for his grace is large
"Who then is the one who condemns? No one"
For sitting at the right hand of God is Jesus, the risen Son
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ", reads Paul's word
"Shall trouble or hardship or persecution...or danger or sword?"
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors"
"Through him who loved us" including through wars
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life"
"Neither angels nor demons" with all their strife
"Will be able to separate us from" God's love
"That is in Christ Jesus our Lord" above

When I am feeling beat up, black and blue
One of the best things that I can do
Is to remember this powerful verse
Paul's words are pointed but not terse
For they give me a very real sense
That God's love for us is truly immense
With verse thirty one it is hard to fuss
"If God is for us, who can be against us?"
