10 November 2010 - John 21:25

At the end of his gospel, John did tell
"Jesus did many other things as well"
John then said with a smile, not a frown
"If every one of them were written down"
"I suppose that even the whole world would not have room"
"For the books that would be written" for us to consume

I for one am overwhelmed enough
With the recorded miracles and stuff
To think that the gospels focus on three years
And don't even mention all the time Jesus appears
He did so much when He was alive
That is an ideal to which I strive
Knowing that I cannot even come close
But that is not a reason to be morose
For Jesus' life sets a great example
And his actions were more than ample
But more important was his death
And the fact that he regained his breath
For this is the really good news
So God's love we should never refuse
