22 July 2010 - 2 Corinthians 5:1-10

Since we know that when our earthly existence is destroyed
God has prepared for us a place in heaven, for that be overjoyed
But while we wait for that day we groan
For we want out heavenly dwelling to be shown
"Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose"
"Guaranteeing what is to come", the Spirit He gave to us
"We live by faith, not by sight"
But would rather be glowing in His light
"So we make it our goal to please him"
Whether His light in us is strong or dim
"Before the judgment seat of Christ" "we must all appear"
So that what we are due (good or bad) we will hear

Although God we can't wait to be with and to see
Our work on this earth determines what our eternity will be
We must make the most of our time here
So judgment day we will not fear
I guess the point of this little rhyme
Is that it is all about how we spend our time
