14 July 2010 - Galatians 5:13-15

"You my brothers, were called to be free"
But for sinful indulgences this is not meant to be
Rather, per our heavenly God above
"Serve one another in love"
A single command sums up the entire law
"Love your neighbor as yourself", as in Jesus we saw
But "if you keep on biting and devouring" one another
"Watch out or you will be destroyed by each other"

The command can not be repeated enough times
It could be the basis for one thousand rhymes
The five words carry so much power
They should be applied at every hour
The focus on others may seem a bit rough
But loving ourselves can also be tough
So remember that God loves each of us a lot
Following His example and err we will not
And try not to be dumb
When thinking of freedom
Our sinful desires try to kill
Use the freedom to do God's will
