This week from BSF I did learn
That Isaiah's words on us can turn
The parallels are very clear
Despite the great difference in year
Prosperity leads to feelings of pride
With a belief in self-reliance on the side
Too often nations, leaders, and people forget
That our blessings are only what God does let
So dear God, please remove my pride
And thus help change my heart inside
From temptation help me to flee
For in your presence I yearn to be
